SUPPORT TO YOUNG CHESS PLAYERS

On the occasion of City of Nis  Youth Day, Chess Association of Nis County, in the cooperation with the Youth Office and under sponsorship of Palilula Municipality, organized traditional chess tournament for the pupils of elementary and secondary schools with the title Day of Nis young people 2014. Tournament was played in elementary school Branko Miljkovic and 7 circles including according to Swiss system with play tempo 15 minutes per one player. President of Palilula Boban Dzunic opened this tournament with addressing to young participants of the tournament, their parents and present public emphasizing that among other things Palilula Municipality is always ready to to help chess players, specially young ones in accordance with its own possibilities.

Manager of the tournament Ivana Jovic, coordinator of KZM (Office for Youth) from Palilula Municipality announced the tournament opened and then little chess players started with their chess fight in 64 black and white tables. After seven played circles, that went through with a tear here and there, to the most successful players chess cups and medals were given and the faces with smiles best testify about their satisfaction, as well for the success of this manifestation. In the name of Chess union of Nis county, Igor Lukic, president of this Association, expressed his own gratitude to Palilula Municipality and its president for the support.
